We have face lifted our nos DAC with new control board pcb, new
tube buffer
pcb, new front plate pcb, IR remote control and some new pictures. We have also
replaced the aluminum front plates, and the DAC facelift is
completed.
Our design are inspired by
Lesha's DAC
and below you can see some pictures of our design in my brother's version (click on the picture to enlarge it). If
you want to build the DAC take a look at this
diyaudio.com thread, tube-lover has made a complete kit quite similar to
our design.
Note that you have to use a Sony compatible remote control with the
nos DAC.
Close-up on the two digital to
analog converter TDA1541A hidden behind heat sinks with new pictures. I
have changed the capacitors back to 100nF polypropylene as I was lacking
treble and my brother was not!
New S/Pdif
interface now with re-clock circuit and improved PLL filter (schematic
not made yet).
Important! Remember to remove jumper J1 and J2, when not using re-clock.
The three
transformers:
2x6VAC 15VA for PIC pcb and tube filament
2x18VAC 30VA for ±18V DC and 2x15V step-up
2x15VAC 30VA step-up for tube high voltage. With new picture,
